Eclectica was founded by Hugh Hendry and other former partners of Odey Asset Management in 2005. Eclectica is well known for its ability to display non-consensual thinking with their investment process being genuinely absolute-return in approach: they have a strong focus on protecting investors' capital and achieving a positive total risk-adjusted return. A UCITS version of Hugh's well-established hedge fund launched on 31 December 2009. George Lee has managed their highly regarded agricultural equity fund since its inception.
