Due Diligence

In order to ascertain whether a fund management capability is appropriate for our client base, we conduct the following due-diligence:

  • We conduct a market test of the business with a core group of fund buyers and industry commentators. The results of this test confirm or contradict our view on demand for the asset class, and the credibility and robustness of investment process and management team.
  • We investigate their corporate structure to determine potential investor suitability.
  • We appraise the cultural fit of the fund manager to ensure their views, approach and personalities are aligned with our fund-buying market and also with our targets and expectations for growing their business.
